This section gives the examinee to have direct communication with the examiner. This evaluates your ability to effectively communicate opinions and information regarding everyday topics and common experiences. The section is divided into three parts and lasts for 11-14 minutes. With the help of speaking test, examiner assesses the candidate's performance based on four criteria: fluency and coherence, lexical resources, grammatical rage and pronounciation.
The section tends to evaluate your ability to comprehend a text's overall meaning, main concepts and specific details. There are 3 passages in this section where the candidates have to complete reading and find out the answers of 40 questions within an hour. Each passage would include 12-14 questions and there are various question types where the candidates need to follow different strategy to solve.

This section assesses your proficiency in organising ideas, writing coherent responses and employing a diverse range of vocabulary and grammar with precision and accuracy. The section consumes one hour and the candidates need to complete two different types of tasks, task one and task two. For task one, they need to spend 20 minutes and remaining time is for task two.
The session evaluates your ability to comprehend the concepts, identify viewpoints and track the progression of an argument. This section lasts for about 40 minutes where you will be provided an audio sound for 25-30 minutes to find out the answers and remaining 10 minutes are going to be used to transfer your answers in the answer sheet. This module is divided into four sections and each section would contain 10 questions each. Candidates are also provided few seconds to read the questions before they listen to the audio recordings.
IELTS Scores
When you get your IELTS test results you will be given an overall test score of between 0 and 9 on the IELTS scale. You will also get a score for each of the four sections of the test – Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The IELTS scale helps organisations understand your level of English.
